APRIL 13: PAINTED BARN QUILT CLASS LIMIT OF 8. IT IS FILLING UP FAST. THIS CLASS WILL BE TAUGHT BY JACKIE MCCLERNON.


APRIL 19 AT 4:00 KIM HEIKKILA AND ADJUCT INSTRUCTOR IN THE HISTORY DEPARTMENT AT ST. CATHERINE UNIVERSITY WILL BE AT THE WHEATON LIBRARY SPEAKING ON THE BOOK SHE WROTE "SISTERHOOD OF WAR : MINNESOTA WOMEN IN VIETNAM". KIM IS A HISTORIAN WHO DELVED INTO THE EXPERIENCES OF FIFTEEN NURSE VETERANS FROM MINNESOTA. SHE WILL SHARE WITH US "WHAT DROVE THEM TO ENLIST, WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM IN-COUNTRY, AND HOW THE WAR CHANGED THEIR LIVES."


STACI'S STORY TIME SATURDAY WILL BE APRIL 1 & 22 AT 10:00 A.M.


MAY 17 AT 4:00 STEVEN R. HOFFBECK, A PROFESSOR OF HISTORY WILL BE AT THE WHEATON LIBRARY SPEAKING ON HIS BOOK "HAYMAKERS: A CHRONICLE OF FIVE FARM FAMILIES. THESE FAMILIES ARE ALL FROM MINNESOTA. HE WILL TAKE US THROUGH THE HARDSHIPS AND THE JOYS OF WORKING THE LAND WITH THESE FAMILIES.


MAY 6 THE WHEATON LIBRARY WILL HAVE A COSTUMED CHARACTER "THE MOUSE" FROM THE STORY "iF YOU GIVE A MOUSE A COOKIE" HERE AT THE LIBRARY TO ENTERTAIN THE CHILDREN. IT WILL BE AT 10:00 A.M.



SUMMER READING AT THE WHEATON COMMUNITY LIBRARY WILL KICK-OFF ON  SATURDAY, JUNE 3 WITH LEGO MAN . HE WILL BE HERE AT 1:00 P.M. STOP IN SEE WHAT LEGO MAN HAS MADE AND BROUGHT WITH HIM AND ALL THE INFORMATION THAT HE HAS ON BUILDING WITH LEGOS.
